Vergezient Lodge – A breathtaking Drakensberg wedding venue

Enjoy your wedding day in splendour of nature just 3 hours away from Johannesburg, Durban and Bloemfontein. Celebrate your special day at Vergezient Lodge and Mountain Retreat. This unique resort situated in the northern Drakensberg offers breathtaking views and a warm charming atmosphere created by our warm friendly staff and rustic farm style decor. The beautiful scenery will set the perfect back ground for your photos and as a wedding gift we will give you the honeymoon suite for two nights at no extra charge.

The lounge, dining-room and enclosed veranda offer generous and comfortable spaces with a 100km long panoramic view of the central and northern Drakensberg including the Amphitheatre and Royal Natal National Park. It is said to be one of the best views of the Drakensberg.

This house also has a spacious dining room with a wood-burning stove a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, a large verandah, flower-filled conservatories, an indoor pool and a large central venue measuring 8m x 15m. It has a fire place and wall heaters, making it a warm and cozy wedding venue even in mid winter.

Wedding Party Accommodation.

We have two accommodation facilities for your guests ie Zonderntwyfel Barnhouse and the Vergezient Lodge. Wedding groups can book either one or both of these buildings for their exclusive use. The Lodge has 10 rooms while the Barnhouse can accommodate a maximum of 26 people – see accommodation page for more

Vergezient Lodge with its numerous lounges and fireplaces is comfortably furnished and blends rustic charm with old fashioned elegance. The Lodge has tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms and a number of bedrooms have their own lounges; some with fireplaces.

Zonderntwyfel Barnhouse has 5 en-suite rooms, sleeping 12 people and 5 dormitory-type rooms that can accommodate 14 people (total 26 people). The 5 dormitory rooms use 2 separate ablutions, each with showers, toilets and basins.

Wedding groups can choose between self catering or fully catered accommodation. Our excellent chefs can provide delicious “normal meals” or fully vegetarian meals.
